So Summer is finally here. I apologise for it taking way too long, there were a few plots myself and some others had been hoping to complete before the conclusion of spring. However, due to lack of time, computers and such, I have decided to stop torturing you all and give you your hot, dry summer and push the plots back to next spring.

There have been several cases of users undermining my authority as administrator and the authority of the mods and co-admin appointed to keep this site in working order. THIS IS NOT OKAY. If this continues, there will be severe consequences - the least of which will be banning of users, the heaviest of which will consist of the entire site being shut down for several weeks.

I would also like to point out that this is not a fantasy rp, and horses - unless they are insane and imagining it - do not speak to the dead, with the obvious exception of the eclipse plots. If you wish to work out some exception, pm me or contact me on aim, and we can work something out, but I cannot allow users on a whim to break the rules because, as we've seen, it only leads to more rulebreaking.

On a lighter note... with the recent character cut put in place, there have been a lot of new minds behind old characters... and a lot of drastic changes in personality. I would like to take this time to encourage you all to research your own characters and think about how their past events and upbringing should effect them, and play accordingly. History is what makes a character interesting - embrace it!

I don't want to resort to banning people, and certainly not to shutting down the site, but I don't know how else to get your attention. I'm begging you, ladies... please don't make it come to that.



With things spiralling somewhat out of control as they are, some things are being done to help ensure things stay orderly:

1. Character cut down wrapping up

Jet, who was placed in charge of overseeing the process of cutting all users' horses down to no more than eight, will be wrapping up this process shortly. She has spent the day going through all threads on the character info board, deleting and editing where necessary to remove unused (and not up for adoption) horses. Those of you who never posted your final eight on the sticky on the OOC board will be checked to see how many horses you have and, if necessary, messaged and asked to cut your list down. Unwanted horses will be put up for adoption. Most of you have been good about handling this yourselves, but we do have some stragglers, so Jet will just be speeding up this process.


2. Site sweep conducted

All users who have not logged in for five months and do not have a significant amount of posts (20) have been deleted. Full view this article for the full list of deleted users.

Ok gals. I know you guys love adopting each others' characters and creating new ones, but I feel like there are more horses on the site than we really have time to develop. I really do want people to concentrate on developing personalities, reputations, and relationships among existing characters, rather than running off and creating new characters. It makes for better storylines, I feel, than just doing the generic flirt-breed-fight twenty times over. So, with Jet's help, I am instilling a new rule, starting today.

From now on, each member will only be allowed a maximum of EIGHT characters.

I feel that eight is more than enough, and I will be grateful to those of you who cut your list down to even less. If you have more than eight characters, please put some thought into who you would like to keep. The rest may go up for adoption if they have relevant plots going on currently, or may just be deleted if no one is using them.

Once you have made your decision, please post on my thread on the OOC board.

There's been a lot of powerplay and godmoding going around HB lately... as well as a lot of battle posts which just DONT MAKE SENSE!
